Steve began his career serving in the military as an Army Engineer while attending college. After graduation he moved to the DFW to take a position with JPI. While the majority of his 30-year career in construction has been with multi-Family focused, General Contractors and Developers, he also has experience in heavy highway and commercial construction. During this time, he has held most positions within construction companies from pre-construction, site supervision to project management, giving him a well-rounded career. He has completed projects through-out DFW, Houston, Austin and Atlanta and has served on project teams throughout the United States.
During Steve’s career he also had a dual career as an Army Engineer officer serving for 28 years in the National Guard. During this time, he was deployed multiple times to assist with natural disasters at home and in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
Steve is also an Adjunct Professor with Collin College teaching within their Construction Management program, where his goal is to have an impact on the next generation of constructors. He undergraduate degrees from Louisiana Tech University and University of Louisiana-Monroe and a graduate degree in Construction Engineering and Construction Management from the University of Alabama- Birmingham.
